Join our Museum Family! Our members are supporters of the new Sultana Disaster Museum. The steamboat Sultana exploded into a fiery blaze on the Mississippi River on April 27, 1865, eventually sinking near present-day Marion, Arkansas. The museum tells the stories of the disaster and those individuals who experienced it.
